Apparently someone let Kanye West into his gaming zone, as the famous rapper recently announced that he has had one in development for about 6 months now, according to TIME. The game is meant to be based on a song called “Only One,” which he performed at the GRAMMYs with Paul McCartney and Rihanna, according to GRAMMY.com. The song, as well as the game, are a tribute to Kanye’s mother, who died in 2007. A clip of that interview is provided by The Breakfast Club Power 105.1, and can be seen above at 55:58.
Kanye didn’t expand very much on the details of the game, but he did say that it involves guiding his mother up “through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light.” Apparently we will have to wait to find out how this game will actually “play” itself out, but it does seem like it may have a bit of a more somber feel than “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” a mobile game popularized by his wife and developed by Glu Games Inc.
